Korean Ground Beef Bowl

If you’re bored of the same old ground beef dinners, you have to try this. It’s quick, packed with flavor, and honestly way better than ordering out. Super satisfying, super easy, and one of those recipes you’ll want on repeat

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

  • INGREDIENTS

    Beef:

    1 lb Ground beef

    1 tbsp Oil

    1 Shallot, diced

    3 Garlic cloves, pressed or minced

    ¼ cup Coconut aminos (or low-sodium soy sauce)

    2 tbsp Honey

    2 tsp Seasame oil

    ½ tsp Crushed red pepper (to taste)

    ¼ tsp Fresh chopped ginger

    2 Green onions (topping)

    Seasame seeds (topping)

    2 cups Cooked jasmine rice (1 cup per bowl)

     

    Carrot Cucumber Salad:

    4 Carrots, shaved

    3 Persian cucumbers, shaved

    1 Lime, juiced

    1 tbsp Rice vinegar

    2 tsp Toasted seasame oil

    Pinch of Crushed red pepper

    2 tbsp Coconut aminos (or Low-sodium soy sauce)

     ½ tsp maple syrup

    ½ tsp grated ginger

    Sesame seeds

  • INSTRUCTIONS

    Carrot Cucumber Salad:

    1. Toss carrots and cucumbers with dressing, massage, and chill

     

    Beef:

    1. Heat ½ tbsp oil; sauté shallot for 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant
    2. Add beef, break apart, and cook for 6–8 minutes. Season lightly if using coconut aminos (skip if using soy sauce). Drain fat
    3. Stir in honey, coconut aminos, sesame oil, red pepper, and ginger
    4. Plate and top with green onions, and sesame seeds
