Döner Kebab Wrap

Döner Kebab Wrap

This might genuinely be the best viral recipe I’ve ever made.
I’m honestly not getting doner takeout anymore because this homemade version is sooo much better, juicy, crispy, flavorful, and it all comes together on one sheet pan. You have to try this!

Serves: 4 to 5

Prep Time: 20 minutes (onion paste, mixing, and shaping)

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

    2 tbsp Oregano

    Tzatziki:

    1 cup Yogurt

½ Grated english cucumber (squeeze out water)

    2 Garlic cloves

    ½ Lemon's worth of juice

    1 tbsp Dill

    1 tbsp Olive oil

    Salt

    Pepper

    Pita Wrap:

    Pita bread

2 Anaheim peppers or any pepper you like

    Parsley

    Tomatoes

    Fries

  • INSTRUCTIONS

    Döner Kebab:

    1.  Blend the onion into a paste. Add it to a bowl with the beef, olive oil, yogurt, and all the spices. Mix with your hands until everything is well combined
    2. Divide the mixture into 5 balls. Place each between two sheets of parchment and roll flat. Remove the top sheet and roll the meat into a tight “cigar.” Repeat for all
    3. Add the rolled meat and peppers to a sheet pan and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, drain the excess liquid from the pan
    4. Bake for another 15 minutes, then remove the parchment (optional: squeeze lemon on top)

    Tzatziki:

    1. Combine Tzatziki Ingredients in a bowl

    Assemble:

    1. Peel the peppers, warm your pita, and build your wrap with kebab, peppers, tomatoes, fries, parsley, and tzatziki
