Chocolate Chip Walnut Banana Bread

Are you team chocolate chips, team walnuts, or team plain?
This banana bread hits EVERY craving and is way cheaper (and tastier) than store bought snacks. Plus, it’s basically impossible to mess up

 

Serving: 8-10 slices (1 standard 9x5 loaf pan)

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 45 minutes

Total Time: about 55 minutes

  • INGREDIENTS

    3 Ripe bananas, peeled and smashed

    1 Stick butter, softened

    2 Eggs, room temp

    1-2 tsp Vanilla bean paste (or extract)

    3 tbsp Maple syrup

    1 ½ cups All-purpose flour

     ½ tsp Cinnamon

    A pinch of salt

    1 tsp Baking soda

     ½ tsp Baking powder

     

    Optional:

    ½ cup Chocolate chips

    ½ cup Chopped walnuts 

  • INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F (no fan) and grease a loaf pan
    2. Mash bananas in a large bowl. Mix in softened butter, then whisk in eggs, vanilla, and maple syrup
    3. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Mix until just combined
    4. Fold in chocolate chips and/or walnuts (or keep it plain!). Pour into the pan and top with extra chocolate chips if you’d like.
    5. Bake for 45 minutes
    6. Let it cool, slice, and enjoy
